Encore. Inspired by the natural pleated patterns made by curtains. From grand theatres to windows at home, curtains control light and how it interacts with a space. Whether they’re building anticipation when a performance is about to begin, or gently starting the day as the first sunlight shines through in the morning, curtains play a fundamental role in how we experience light. I’ve been designing Encore for gantri since 2019 and it will be 3D printed from an eco-friendly corn-based plastic. Follow gantri’s page for updates about Encore including release dates and more.

Swipe for a surprise ☀️ Earth Day is a time to reflect on our behaviour as buyers and our responsibility as designers. Providing products made locally, with environmentally sustainable materials, is really important to me. Low impact, long lasting. Creating objects that can be passed down through generations is an honour that I feel so lucky to have.

I designed Encore as a 3D printed light before I owned a 3D printer. Actually, I only bought a 2D printer less than 12 months ago as well 🤯 how do you like to prototype?

Pull up, removing the top cap and diffuser.

Once the bulb has been replaced, put the cap and diffuser assembly back on top of Encore. Slide back to lock in place.
