Founded by Heitor Lobo Campos in 2023, Temporal Studio seeks to capture and recreate lost feelings with its designs, providing a sense of subtle familiarity in every piece. To transcend the fleeting nature of physical products, Temporal focuses on crafting designs that emphasize sustainability and longevity. Originally from Brazil, Heitor currently resides in Paris, France, where he leads Temporal in its mission to create unforgettable objects that endure.

What do you believe makes you unique as a designer?
What I think differentiates my work is the multidisciplinary approach I take to everything. I was never interested in just design, I like writing, drawing and creating things, whatever “things” those may be, so design is just the convergence of everything that inspires me.
How does lighting design in particular fit into your work?
Lighting design is weirdly freeing, it doesn’t follow restrictions as harsh as other discipline or areas, so it’s very sculptural and expressive, works produced with lighting can be so varied in form and material that it becomes a playing ground for experimentation, and sometimes can kickstart entirely new ideas.
What do you want the people buying your work to think or feel?
I want them to see the products as an extension of themselves and their expression, and hopefully they’ll also feel a bit of the same feelings that inspired me during the design process.
