☀️ The other side of my old entryway, which functioned as foyer + work desk space + reading chair + lounging area :') Just small space tingz ~ please ignore random blender on my doorstep and the uglyass wall heater that actually looks better than most I guess 😌

I loved updating the little details of the space, like swapping out the metal legs on my ikea Soderhamn piece with warmer, wooden mid-century ones from prettypegs to tie in with the rest of my furniture. Also don't worry, I moved my plants from the wooden shelving when it was heater season so they didn't burn to a crisp 😅

And so much blank wall space to decorate!! Most people might get intimidated, but don't be afraid to get creative and decorate with stuff other than prints - my friends know I really like clocks as functional art (literally own 4 of them now lol) and you can try out fun wall shelving and lighting as well!

I also installed a magnetic screen door for an easy, affordable, renter friendly way to get in and out the door. Especially nice during the warmer months when I'd keep my door open for a fresh breeze 🍃

After working an early 6:45am shift, I like to take a nap with my Gantri cantilever globe light on. Cause whenever I wake up from my nap, I lay and stare at it, and for some reason it reminds me of a yellow moon or a warm sunset. 🌅 

The downside is that I can’t get out of bed after a nap cause it makes my room and my bed feel soo cozy. 😅

Sometimes I prefer sitting on my bed to do work that doesn’t require my keyboard and mouse. I know its not recommended to work on your bed cause you’re most likely going to get too comfortable and doze off. ☁️

But personally, I like a change in scenery when I work. It’s weird, but I focus better when in different settings. 🏠

Happy July everyone! ☀️

July is one of my favourite months because in Vancouver we have specific weather for all 4 seasons, and for June i’m always tired and transitioning from the rainy spring season.

July makes me feel wide awake and more willing to visit the beach or go for a swim in a huge lake. 

Like today, I made a last minute plan (I never do that) to go out visiting the city with my friend and enjoy this nice sunny day exploring and finding new shops. 🤍

Since its summer, I have a number of things that I carry in my bag at all times. 

-Sunstick 

-Blotting powder 

-Summer fridays Lipbalm 

-Lip tint

-Travel sized perfume 

-Handcream

-Airpods

-Sunglasses

-My inhaler (I have asthma, but it doesnt look appealing for this photo)

I don’t know if its just me, but before I go out I always have to lay everything out on my bed including my outfit so that I can organize what I want to wear or bring. I have some sort of anxiety if I forget to bring something. This makes sure I don’t forget

Would you believe that growing up I was highly extroverted, loved being around people, striked conversations with everyone and anyone?

I was also always very fun, loved to include everyone. I didn’t like when people were left out. People like to be very cliquey here and stay within their own selective groups. I didnt like that. 

I was definitely a people pleaser. But no matter how nice or open you are, people will always have a word to say about you. There will always be those individuals who judge you for any reason.

I feel like as I’ve gotten older, I’m becoming more and more introverted. I’ve been around and dealt with too many rude, lying, vicious people that I’m just tired. Its to the point where I’m transitioning into a design career to do something I love, but also, am in hopes to work from home away from the public. 

I dont know if you guys believe in horoscopes, but I’m an aries, that has lost most of her flame. 🔥

So thats why I love when I get to travel. I get to be myself and be my extroverted self. Which is why I’m going to the Dominican republic in about a month! 🏝️

But for now, I’m going to stick with my couple close friends or stay home and express my creativity with this wonderful, welcoming community.
